Driving Directions
From the North (Baltimore, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Delaware and New York)
- Take I-95 South to I-495 West.
- Take Exit 33, Connecticut Avenue South.
- Continue on Connecticut Avenue for about 6.5 miles.
- Turn right onto Woodley Road NW.
- 2647 Woodley Road NW is the first house (red brick with white porch columns) on the right.
From the South (Richmond)
- Take I-95 North to I-395 North to route 1 (14th Street Bridge).
- Follow 14th Street for 1 mile.
- Turn left onto K Street NW. Continue on K Street for 5 blocks.
- Turn right onto Connecticut Avenue.
- Follow Connecticut Avenue for 1 mile.
- Cross over the William Taft Bridge.
- Make a left turn at the 3rd light after the bridge onto Woodley Road NW.
- 2647 Woodley Road NW is the first house (red brick with white porch columns) on the right.
From the West (Pittsburgh, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois)
- Take I-70 East to I-270 South to I-495 East.
- Take Exit 33, Connecticut Avenue South.
- Continue on Connecticut Avenue for about 6.5 miles.
- Turn right onto Woodley Road NW.
- 2647 Woodley Road NW is the first house (red brick with white porch columns) on the right.
From the West (Dulles Airport)
- From the West (Dulles Airport)
- Take Dulles Toll Road to I-66 East to Washington.
- Cross over the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge.
- Exit off Constitution Avenue.
- Continue on Constitution Avenue NW for 6 blocks and make a left turn onto 17th Street NW.
- 17th Street will change to Connecticut Avenue.
- Continue on Connecticut Avenue NW for 1 mile.
- Cross over the William Taft Bridge.
- Make a left turn at the 3rd light after the bridge onto Woodley Road NW.
- 2647 Woodley Road NW is the first house (red brick with white porch columns) on the right.
Ground Transportation
From Union Station (train station) – Taxi
About $20 and 20 minutes. Directions to our Woodley Park B&B are simple. We are located near the corner of Connecticut Avenue and Woodley Road, NW. Woodley Park Guest House is directly across the street from the main entrance to the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, which is well known to airport taxi drivers.
From Union Station (train station) – Metro/Subway
From Union Station, take the Red Line Metro (subway) toward Shady Grove. Get off at the Woodley Park /Zoo/Adams Morgan station. You can exit the station by elevator or escalator. The elevator exits on the corner of Connecticut Ave. and Woodley Road. Look left up Woodley Road and you will see our sign across the street. The escalator exit is one short block down Connecticut Ave. As you reach the top of the escalator turn about-face and walk up Connecticut Ave. (traffic will be on your right-hand side) to the light at Woodley Road. Turn left. You will see our sign. We are the first house on your right.
Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) – Taxi
About $20 and 15 minutes. Directions to our Woodley Park B&B. We are located near the corner of Connecticut Avenue and Woodley Road, NW. Woodley Park Guest House is directly across the street from the main entrance to the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, which is well known to airport taxi drivers.
Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) – Metro/Subway
Take the Yellow Line from the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport Metro Station toward Greenbelt. At the Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro Station, transfer to the Red Line, toward Shady Grove. Get off at Woodley Park – Zoo/Adams Morgan (fourth stop). You can exit the station by elevator or escalator. The elevator exits on the corner of Connecticut Ave. and Woodley Road. Look left up Woodley Road and you will see our sign across the street. The escalator exit is one short block down Connecticut Ave. As you reach the top of the escalator turn about-face and walk up Connecticut Ave. (traffic will be on your right-hand side) to the light at Woodley Road. Turn left. You will see our sign. We are the first house on your right.

You will find that you probably don’t need (or want) a car in the city. Transportation is very convenient by Metro (subway) or taxi. If you decide to rent a car, you will find excellent driving instructions on this page of our website. Once you get to our Washington DC Bed and Breakfast, parking is available for an additional charge. If you want to rent a car while you are here, there is a car rental office in the Marriott Wardman Park hotel across the street.

Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) – Train
There is a free shuttle that runs between BWI and the Amtrak BWI Airport Station. There are two types of trains that run at different times from the BWI Airport Station to Union Station in Washington, DC.The first and least expensive option is the MARC train (Maryland Commuter Rail – weekdays only) at approximately $7 one way, from The Amtrak BWI Airport Station to Union Station in Washington, DC. The second cheapest option is the regular Amtrak train. You can buy your tickets in advance, online, or at the station. Prices are higher on holidays and weekends.All of the trains end at Union Station. From Union Station, take the Red Line Metro (subway) toward Shady Grove.
